About Ruth

Ruth founded Gerath & Company in 2004.  She has worked with entrepreneurs and executives from companies including Microsoft, SAP, IHG and Clarks.  Prior to starting her own company she was an executive and consulting practice leader working with clients that included Verizon, Mattel, Turner Broadcasting, TD Bank and others.  Ruth’s approach is highly collaborative and sharply focused.  She creates an environment of confidentiality and trust.

Ruth started her career as an IBM Systems Engineer working with executives to select and implement critical business systems. After twelve years, during which time she held various positions including in IBM headquarters, she became V.P. of Mellon Bank’s Institutional Trust Software Engineering organization. There she lead multiple groups and worked closely with Mellon’s CIO and Division Leaders. In 1997 she joined The Hackett Group (then Answerthink Consulting). She headed the Program Management and CIO Strategies Practices, built corporate management systems, lead the largest and most complex client engagements, and became a turnaround expert for high profile initiatives.
